After Governor Maggie Hassan signed into law New Hampshire’s medical marijuana program in July of 2013, there have been nothing but delays. But this slow going may be at an end as one growing faculty has just been approved to start cultivating marijuana in the state.

GreenWay NH MMP Delays in New Hampshire May Soon Be OverAccording to New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, Sanctuary ATC was the first to receive approval to begin cultivating cannabis. DHHS will then be inspecting Sanctuary’s dispensing location in Plymouth. The DHHS will then decide if the facility is ready for operations.

For now, Sanctuary ATC was just issued a conditional registration certificate by the state. This will just be one of the few facilities for the program.

Therapeutic Cannabis Program, implemented by NH DHHS, will include four dispensary locations and three cultivation centers. If the cultivation by Sanctuary ATC goes off without a hitch, the facility’s dispensary is expected to open by spring of 2016.
